Brett Jackson got a double and a walk, Luis Valbuena hit a HR and Josh Vitters has started his annual slide into obscurity as the Iowa Cubs lost 4-6. Jay Jackson continued to be a fantastic 5th starter in AAA.

Game 1

Dallas Beeler worked 5.2 IP and gave away 1 unearned run. He struck out 5. 

Game 2

Eternal Cub Minor leaguer Ryan Searle struck out 5 in 4 scoreless innings. Frank Batista  has had a good start to the year. He has worked 6.2 scoreless innings while striking out 9. He earned his 5th save of the year.

Nobody did anything worth writing about.

 

Overall it was a shit day with nothing going on. Which is going to happen alot when most of our talent is in EXST.

  1. DJ: NO, Schmitt’s gay? So the character he played in Greek is more true to life than the one he plays in New Girl? Really? I’m so deflated. I might even have to watch Game of Thrones now. On second thought, I’ll just find Freaks and Geeks reruns on Youtube.

    I was kind of ambivalent about it, I figured “why the hell not”…but I’m not above saying that I was wrong. I didn’t really think he’d be lights out (though the first outing was pretty cool).
