In by berselius9 Comments

In this episode, Jeff and Myles discuss:

  • Revised win total predictions for the Cubs
  • Which struggling players we are more and less worried about
  • Should Jaby Baez eat into Russell's playing time?
  • How long can Ian Happ keep this up
  • First inning runs – hilarious or frustrating?
  • Guessing the lineup on this day in 2012, including the most comical 3-4 hitter combo this team has seen in the past decade.

Enjoy. Or don't. I can't tell you what to do.

Hyun-Jin Ryu also had a four inning save yesterday. I wonder what was the last time two MLB pitchers got a four inning save on the same day.

    Perkins,

It was the first day in more than 13 years on which two major-league pitchers earned saves of four-or-more innings. The last such instance came on April 23, 2004, when the Tigers’ Esteban Yan and the Angels’ Kevin Gregg each earned saves in which they pitched four innings and allowed no runs.

I never in a million years would have guessed Kevin Gregg.
