    BVS,

All the maps look the same.

You didn’t notice more orange dots in NM and purple dots in WY? (dying laughing)

I think that’s the point, no regionalism in dinner/supper. I suspect supper is used more by folks over 75.

My prediction is that Kluber doesn’t make it past the 4th inning. Either the Cubs bats or Francona will take him out. Then Miller Shaw and Allen. I think we can get to Shaw and we had baserunners against Miller.

Whatever happens, I feel pretty fucking good about this team. They dominated for the whole season, and even when they looked down in the postseason, they came roaring back. While the 2008 team will always have a big place in my heart, I can honestly say this is the most fun I’ve ever had watching baseball. The 2016 Cubs are everything I’ve ever hoped the Cubs could be, and it’s just amazing to see.

All that said, I hope they crush the Indians into dust. It would be a shame for them to get this far and not finish the job.

I just think it’s cool that a championship comes down to having the best team in baseball involved, with two great pitchers on the mound. What a great season for MLB.

    False.

I heard Cliff Floyd on the radio saying getting out of Wrigley the other day was the best thing for this team. Escaping ridiculous pressure. In Cleveland there is no pressure; instead they hear fans telling them they suck which is a great motivator for hitting grand slams.

Having Kyle Schwarber in the lineup can’t hurt either.

According to someone involved in the sports, Chapman available for 30-40 pitches. Lester for 2 innings.

    Smokestack Lightning,

    And Arrieta for 20 pitches.

Rondon and Grimm might as well go home.

Another reason I wasn’t cut out for sports. If I were them, I’d be ecstatic I was so unlikely to pitch tonight.

I know it’s not likely, but I would be a big fan of the Cubs scoring a lot of runs early. I bet no one else has thought of that. (dying laughing)

berselius: Not the best four pitch inning in the next frame though

I’m not all that anxious to see who Tito is going throw out there next. So, far as I’m concerned, Kluber can stay out there.

All I can think of when I watch Hendricks pitch is Rick Reuschel with the Giants in the ’89 LCS. I think we grounded into 15 double plays against him, and the fucking organist at Candlestick played “The Entertainer” after each one.

Duh duh duh dun dun dun, duh duh duh dun dun dun, duh duh duh duh duh duh duh duh dun…

The Javy error wasn’t yips or being cute. The whole play was set up by the way the ball was hit, then on the last bounce it hit the lip of the grass. Addy had to correct on the fly at the last minute where he caught it; his flip was then coming from a completely different direction than what Javy was expecting. Just bad luck.

The lip made it hard, but I guarantee you he’s thinking about that failure to catch it.

Hope I’m overreacting like the #cubstwitter I am right now.

I’m in Lakeview at a bar so I can’t post much. But Hendricks is dealing. Please Joe done take him out too early.

So I like having Lester available, but the Indians have seen him as much as we have seen Kluber. I’d keep Hendricks in still at least one more inning. IF he gets in trouble Strop can close the inning and Lester comes in to start next inning.

I am getting the feeling that the Indians are cursed. Maybe they built their stadium on some Native American burial grounds.

Deep breath. We have a 2 run lead in the 6th. Kluber is gone. Miller already has been pitching. Shaw and Allen await, but rest of RPs pitched last night.

    Same old Cubs.

Thought I could take this crap. But I cannot.

I think we should just agree to share the championship.

I’ll happily take that at this point.

    JonKneeV,

Like he took out Hendricks and put in Lester with runners on base when he said he wouldn’t do that and then runs scored. Then he did the same fucking thing with Chapman. Fuck.

Perhaps it’s the nerves talking, but I would really like Joe Maddon to be fired regardless of the outcome of this game.

    Bring back Renteria!

The Cubs making 3 errors is probably the most annoying thing about this game to me aside from that guy hitting the tying HR.
