Terms of Starlin's new contract:2013 5 mill, 5 , 6, 7, 9, 10, 11 plus a club option for 16 million and a 6 million $ signing bonus.

I’d say that $16 million option is all but a sure thing to be exercised unless he declines much quicker than expected. I think the Cubs overpaid a bit here.

I wish I had even one skill that was valued at 1/100th the amount Starlin made in his bonus.
