Yet Another Off Day Cubs Haiku

In aside by Rice Cube14 Comments

A .500 West Coast road trip, a division-leading performance so far anyway despite this April madness, and also someone told me it was International Haiku Poetry Day, so…

Gauntlet halfway done

Cubs leading division still

Unbelievable

It is important to note that given the schedules, the Cubs will remain in first place by the time they play on Friday…whether they stay there by themselves is a different story

Also, Cubs have more wins than any AL team (I think someone else pointed this out yesterday but it’s still true)

Cribbed from a tweet in Bert’s post

The Chicago Cubs are facing a gauntlet of talent early in the season, and for context here’s the records of their opponents when they aren’t playing the Cubs.

    Dodgers: 10-4
    Dbacks: 8-5
    Athletics: 7-7
    Padres: 12-1
    Rangers: 9-5

Series against Dbacks, Dodgers, and Phillies up next

    Rice Cube,

Not to burst your bubble, but the era of closing up loopholes in corporate regulatory restrictions is either in the past or in the future but definitely not right now.
