Prior to Sunday’s series finale, the Cardinals played a throwback video of Matt Adams’ go-ahead three-run home run in Game 4 of the 2014 National League Division Series — one that was hit off of Kershaw. The homer ultimately clinched the series for St. Louis, which beat the Dodgers 3-2 to advance to the National League Championship Series. The video played on a loop for several minutes before starting lineups were announced.

Kershaw didn’t take too kindly to the video, telling Los Angeles-based reporters after the game, including Jeff Jones of MLB.com: “I think it’s a little bush league, but I don’t expect anything less from these guys. So, it’s no worries.”

Is he a good defensive player? What I saw early in the season wasn’t great, but he’s looked like a good glover since he came back up.

I’ve watched that play about 25 times now and it’s as fine a play as you’ll see a 3rd baseman make inside the foul lines.

He was a shortstop in college and played 2B until they moved him to 3B, has good instincts and the bat should come along
