Series Preview: Chicago Cubs (2-1) at Cincinnati Reds (1-2)

All the buzz going into this ‘season’ was that the Reds lucked out by getting some lot of extra games against the miserable Tigers. They’ve already frittered some of that away by losing two of three at home to said Tigers.

Team Leaders

Based on 2019 numbers, not including anyone who joined the team this year that I can’t remember.

Suarez was a lot better than I remembered last year.

Unavailable players, transactions, etc

The Reds made a bunch of moves this offseason, picking up Mike Moustakas and former Cub Nick Castellanos. Starter Anthony DeSclefani is out with a chest injury, and Moustakas, OF Nick Senzel, and 1B Matt Davison are out with illnesses. Tucker Barnhart is on the paternity list.

Nothing new illness/injury wise on the Cubs side that I know of.
