    17. Seems like the Cubs under Counsel hit well out of the gate and then disappear. Just happened sooner this year.

      So for today’s line up, how about we play the guys we’ve called up?

      Honestly, sitting Happ for a week wouldn’t be so bad. I assume his streakiness will continue. Makes not signing him back in off season easier.

      I do wonder what the guys who draw the shoet straw for holiday duty felt (dying laughing)

      I guess someone has to be ready to protect us in case the bad guys pick that day to invade while we’re BBQing and buying mattresses or whatever

    47. We did harp on this a bit on the pod, but noting the really bad misses in that fateful first inning leading to all the runs, I think my point was not that those pitches would guarantee doom, but that if you miss with specific pitch types that badly in a place where they can be barreled, then it shouldn’t be a surprise when it does happen
