So I haven’t done much since the pod as I had to get ready for work and also the Cubs kind of sucked so there’s no more Cubs baseball now. Other places have covered the press conference, which I listened to at work and generally I thought the answers by Jed Hoyer were reasonable. The general lament of a disappointing end of the season, the obvious issues with pitching and the need to improve it next season (pending the lockout/CBA stuff, which he also sort of addressed/bypassed), and some praise for long-time (very likely former) Cub Ian Happ. Here’s the video should you wish to partake.
I’d write more but life’s rough and the Cubs didn’t help (dying laughing)

A 4-inning, 2-hit, 6-K save is the stuff of Joe Maddon’s dreams.

Leave it to the Dodgers and Kyle Tucker to defer his production until the postseason

Enjoying the Brewers being miserable at the moment, it probably won’t last but somewhere Kato Kaelin is probably throwing stuff

In happier news, I was able to run a few times this week for the first time in 9-10 years. Only a minute or two at a time (maybe up to 4-5 minutes a couple times today). Not sure I can adequately express how happy that makes me.
