Cubs Win a Hot One

In Postgame by Rice Cube41 Comments

I listened to this game on the radio and it sounded like the Cubs were victimized by stupid luck and crazy wind at times, though they made the plays that mattered and came out with a fun football score win. Per at least one media outlet and also their official records, Ian Happ’s pair of home runs puts him ahead of Kris Bryant on the all-time Cubs list, which was cool.

One more against Seattle, and then the Cubs don’t have to worry about them until the World Series (which, curiously, the Mariners have never appeared in)…

    Rice Cube,

Doesn’t seem like he’s a major cog in SFs pitching, based on his stats.

But, until there is more substantial public information, I’m leaving this in Ann Lander’s MYOB bin.

    Rice Cube,

You can only go so long as a great guy in the clubhouse. He made it 4.5 yr like that. His nickname should be Sylvester, because like the cat, he’s had an amazing number of resurrections. (Deserved, I’d say, since he seems like a super decent dude )

Saw at the end of the condensed game video that the poor Clark mascot guy had to fly the W in that suit, hope that thing has a good cooling system

Pearson really didn’t want to walk a run in there. Threw three fastballs straight down the middle (dying laughing).
