fantastic
With the 0th pick, the Green Bay Packers take the Lombardi Trophy
With the 0th pick, the Green Bay Packers take the Lombardi Trophy
(dying laughing) win
(dying laughing).
i guess Von Miller is a lock to Denver
I like the Miller pick much more than the Newton pick. Don’t see how this helps Carolina.
they are basically admitted claussen was a waste @ 2 last year.
watching draft guys talk about appellate courts is funny
I get that, but there are so many better players on the board. Their line was in shambles last year.
I gotta be honest, I’m not going to pay much attention tonight since the packers pick last, and I have no idea who’ll still be on the board (dying laughing). This is just the first round today, right?
Wow. That’s some booing.
(dying laughing) at the booing crowd
Yes, just round one tonight.
well carolina just fucked up the first pick.
now lets watch denver draft me with the 2nd pick
Michael Irvin you are an idiot…
Denver will re-draft Tebow with this pick.
“Cam Newton is especially, unlike most any others who have played the position”
what the fuck are you trying to say boomer?
I think Boomer is disproving his own point by going through this horrible list of first pick QBs.
“Cam Newton is especially, unlike most any others who have played the position”
what the fuck are you trying to say boomer?
In that others that play the position are capable of playing the position?
Von Miller does not appear enthused about the prospect of getting drafted by DEN
That is a long ass phone call to say you are next.
(dying laughing) @ Goodell being openly booed and heckled every time he steps to the podium.
Nice portholes, Von.
Goodell: Let’s let bygones be…
Miller: Go fuck yourself with John Galt’s briefcase.
Go fuck yourself with John Galt’s briefcase.
(dying laughing)
The Bills win the draft?
Peasants, arst thou conversing?
That’s a great pick for BUF
Peasants, arst thou conversing?
Nay m’lord. We’re an anarcho-syndicalist commune. We take in turns to act as a sort of executive officer for the week.
i dont like marcellus that much
Why does Deion have to be such a downer?
ok AJ Green.
Nay m’lord. We’re an anarcho-syndicalist commune. We take in turns to act as a sort of executive officer for the week.
Who is the executive chairman? Have any watery tarts lobbed scimitars around here recently?
ok AJ Green.
Who’s throwing him the ball?
please take the QB Arizona
Who’s throwing him the ball?
Exactly.
Who’s throwing him the ball?
He’ll pass the ball to himself
AZ should take Gabbert, but I bet they reach for Locker.
I’m not impressed by Gabbert. I think Locker would be fine here.
Cards have to take Gabbert here, no?
im not sold on any of the QB’s in this draft. use your 3rd &4th round picks on em
I’m not impressed by Gabbert. I think Locker would be fine here.
Well, depends. Gabbert has tools and size, Locker has upside.
Cards taking Peterson.
FUCK they took Peterson.
FUCK
I’m with DJ. Just not a great year for QBs.
ARRRGGHGHGHGH
Angelo needs to get on the phone and try to get in that 6 spot and grab Julio Jones.
anger anger anger
Anybody see the woman with the gold tribal headdress on? WTF?
Angelo needs to get on the phone and try to get in that 6 spot and grab Julio Jones.
He’ll be busy trading picks for picks in future drafts that might not even happen (dying laughing)
(dying laughing) the stupid fucking Cards just screwed their offense to keep SF from grabbing Peterson. Idiots.
Who do niners take now dj
who in gods name is going to be Arizona’s QB?
He’ll be busy trading picks for picks in future drafts that might not even happen (dying laughing)
Nah. He’ll be busy tryign to stockpile 3rd round picks so he draft 7 defensive players that won’t make it out of training camp.
Browns trade to let someone else get Gabbert I bet.
i have a horrible feeling they take Gabbert
I’m hoping they trade down
Falcons just traded up to get Julio JOnes.
Done Deal Sealed
Von Miller and Peterson were the most obvious choices for us
Cameron Jordan & Prince are the next best
Nah. He’ll be busy tryign to stockpile 3rd round picks so he draft 7 defensive players that won’t make it out of training camp.
Maybe he’ll pick up some punt return specialists (dying laughing)
who in gods name is going to be Arizona’s QB?
Kevin Kolb?
ATL just gave Jerry Angelo a master class in how to get yourself over the hump in the NFC. Angelo = PWNED.
word is that the cards will sign Marc Bulger to be the starting QB.
let that marinate
Matt Ryan throwing to Julio Jones and Roddy White?
Damn
Holy fuck the Falcons passing attack is going to pwn.
Matt Ryan throwing to Julio Jones and Roddy White?
Damn
berselius ——-> smugly grinning at Matt Ryan failing to show up in the playoffs
Boomer just said the falcons lacked a home run threat.
Who is Roddy White?
Top 6 picks from SEC?
ATL just gave Jerry Angelo a master class in how to get yourself over the hump in the NFC. Angelo = PWNED.
I have no idea how the Bears are occasionally good with Jerry Angelo and the McCaskeys at the helm.
SEC is owning this draft
I’m waiting for the first player from Boise St. to be drafted.
WOW Atlanta gave up a ton there
Dear Jerry Angelo,
Choke yourself, dickhead.
Mike Holmgren = robbery
word is that the cards will sign Marc Bulger to be the starting QB.
let that marinate
Wait, what? They gotta be looking for Ponder or Dalton in the 2nd.
Browns got a load of picks there. After Colt has another year to progress, they may look really good in 2012.
9ers should trade this pick for a QB hungry team.
WOW Atlanta gave up a ton there
Holy shit
1st round pick
2nd round pick
4th round pick
1st and 4th round pick next year
what the fucking fuck
Jesus Christ the Falcons gave up a shit ton of picks.
im sorry MO but if Chicago gave that much up for Julio Jones you would be pissed
Holmgren=Genius.
please no QB.
Please.
Top 6 picks from SEC?
In case you guys have been away, the SEC is good at football
im sorry MO but if Chicago gave that much up for Julio Jones you would be pissed
Yeah, I just saw the haul. That’s too much. But Jerry Angelo is still a hopeless fuckwit. (dying laughing)
true but what the fuck was on Atlanta’s mind there
please no QB.
Please.
Andy Dalton!
Yeah, I just saw the haul. That’s too much. But Jerry Angelo is still a hopeless fuckwit. (dying laughing)
Agreed. Don’t trust Angelo at all.
In case you guys have been away, the SEC is good at football
I was wrong. Von Miller=Big 12. But still 5 of top 6.
true but what the fuck was on Atlanta’s mind there
Duh. Winning. (dying laughing)
Andy Dalton!
I want to predict that Ryno was right that Andy Dalton will not go 7. (dying laughing)
dj, schefter says sf could pick Missouri DE Aldon Smith.
Angelo has to go OL, and the early run on defense and skill positions bodes well. I just want no part of Solder.
Angelo has to go OL, and the early run on defense and skill positions bodes well. I just want no part of Solder.
No Solder? I thought he graded very nice?
Smith on phone with a big smile.
Atlanta obviously thinks they are a big play receiver away from a championship. Windows close fast in the NFL, so maybe they overpaid and knew it, but it was worth it to them.
Aldon Smith!?
WHO
No Solder? I thought he graded very nice?
Early reports were that he’s got strength issues, i.e. Chris Williams redux.
Hayden Simpson!?
WHO
.
Atlanta’s offense is going to be ridiculous next year. I’m talking Bears good. (dying laughing) (dying laughing) (dying laughing)
ive got to find new fucking teams to cheer for
Some miscommunication about “That kid from Mizzou.”
Early reports were that he’s got strength issues, i.e. Chris Williams redux.
Oh lord. Nevermind.
TEN has to get Gabbert.
WOW!!
Jake Locker. Wow
(dying laughing)
(dying laughing)
(dying laughing)
(dying laughing)
(dying laughing)
(dying laughing)
(dying laughing)
TEN are idiots
(dying laughing)
(dying laughing)
(dying laughing)
(dying laughing)
(dying laughing)
(dying laughing)
Also (dying laughing) at my Falcons fan cousin trying to defend that trade
He makes more sense to TEN. They aren’t going to win next year, but he has a chance to be much better than Gabbert.
Gabbert to Skins?
When did Tim Wilken join the Titans?
Cowboys could get a fat package right now with Fairley and Gabbert still on the board
Gabbert to Skins?
I hope my in-laws plumbing can handle bricks if that’s true.
This is gonna be that OT from USC to Dallas.
I hope my in-laws plumbing can handle bricks if that’s true.
(dying laughing)
Yeah, I live in the DC area and all my friends thought they were gonna have to trade up to snag him.
the 49ers drafted Aldon Smith to go 0-16 and get Luck next year
My father continues to insist that the Redskins are gonna draft the QB from Arkansas.
I just hope the Bears don’t fuck their pick up.
(dying laughing) at the anti Vince Young comment. I think Ryno just threw something at his TV
Cowboys must be listening to trade offers taking this long.
I will laugh my ass completely off is WAS takes Mallett
i need ryno to speak on Aldon
My brother-in-law is hoping WAS picks a new owner (dying laughing)
Cowboys must be listening to trade offers taking this long.
They probably want the Prince, but don’t think he’s worth it here.
That was a long ass wait for what everybody already knew.
That was a long ass wait for what everybody already knew.
Nobody offered them 4 picks and 2 first rounders
I like the fans commitment to booing Goddell. (dying laughing)
That was a long ass wait for what everybody already knew.
Jerry wanted to give his buddy a break from the constant booing.
I like the fans commitment to booing Goddell. (dying laughing)
Indeed. I hope they can keep it up.
Maybe WAS can pull a Childress and forget to submit their pick (dying laughing)
They boo Goodell but does he even have anything to do with the lockout? I thought it was owners and players?
They boo Goodell but does he even have anything to do with the lockout? I thought it was owners and players?
True, but the commish is the figurehead of the owners. his whole $1 salary PR stunt and that WSJ article were fucking dumb.
They boo Goodell but does he even have anything to do with the lockout? I thought it was owners and players?
Goodell’s completely in the owner’s corner, and wrote a really inept and egregious op-ed in the WSJ the day after the recent decision.
Goodell’s completely in the owner’s corner, and wrote a really inept and egregious op-ed in the WSJ the day after the recent decision.
Loved that op-ed.
(dying laughing), my dog is upset by this transformers commercial
Loved that op-ed.
I plan on teaching it tomorrow in class as an example of really bad arguments.
Jags trade up for Gabbert?
Washington did something smart?
Replace about 25 verbs and it could have been written by the players union rep.
If I’m Gabbert I’m not sure which of WAS or JAX I’d want to be drafted by.
Replace about 25 verbs and it could have been written by the players union rep.
(dying laughing)
Not a bad pick for JAX.
Replace about 25 verbs and it could have been written by the players union rep.
The NFLPA has long been the worst-run player’s union in sports.
Did anyone catch what WAS got in that trade?
The NFLPA has long been the worst-run player’s union in sports.
I’m dreading the eventual settlement. I just know they are going to throw the young players under the bus, just like every other players union.
Did anyone catch what WAS got in that trade?
JAX’ 2nd rounder
5 SEC, 2 Pac 10, 3 Big 12.
I’m dreading the eventual settlement. I just know they are going to throw the young players under the bus, just like every other players union.
Yep. Probably the last year we see the slotting system for the draft.
I’m dreading the eventual settlement. I just know they are going to throw the young players under the bus, just like every other players union.
Isn’t that what they do in EVERY union?
Isn’t that what they do in EVERY union?
Seeing as my union is entirely composed of young people, no, that’s not what happens.
Seeing as my union is entirely composed of young people, no, that’s not what happens.
That’s not a fair comp MO. Your union is also only for relatively short term employees
Seeing as my union is entirely composed of young people, no, that’s not what happens.
Ah, our workforce is trying to unionize and it’s so everything is based on seniority
WATT!!!!!
love seeing him picked so high
he can hang out with Owen Daniels
Seeing as my union is entirely composed of young people, no, that’s not what happens.
What is your union?
That’s not a fair comp MO. Your union is also only for relatively short term employees
True.
HAHHAAHAHA @ B
What is your union?
It’s the AFT local for the grad students here.
Jake Locker looks like he’ll fit right in in Tennessee. (dying laughing)
I want Carimi. No way he’s around for the BEars, though.
Shefter says DET is desparately trying to trade down.
report that the niners trade Smith to Phi for Kolb.
I would hate that too
It’s the AFT local for the grad students here.
Didn’t realize you were still a student.
I want Carimi. No way he’s around for the BEars, though.
I would not be happy if the Bears drafted Carimi (dying laughing)
Ah, our workforce is trying to unionize and it’s so everything is based on seniority
Well, that’s ppart of the tradeoff for the protection they can offer. It’s definitely not a perfect system.
So, there are no good picks right now, as both of the next two teams want to trade back?
Didn’t realize you were still a student.
Yeah. We teach while we’re here.
Good Lord, if you needed another reason to hate Viking fans, that crowd shot is it.
what’s that mock draft that ryno jerks off to?
reach for Minnesota
Ponder?!!
(dying laughing)
(dying laughing)
(dying laughing)
(dying laughing)
(dying laughing)
(dying laughing)
(dying laughing)
(dying laughing)
(dying laughing)
(dying laughing)
(dying laughing)
(dying laughing)
FUCKING VIKINGS
(dying laughing)
(dying laughing)
(dying laughing)
YEAH!!!!!!
Have fun, Vikings, when AP demands a trade this week.
This is what they get for hitching their wagon to the pill-popping, sexually harassing carcass of Brett Favre.
It was a reach for him to go that high, but it’s great for him. He’s a good kid.
Well, that’s ppart of the tradeoff for the protection they can offer. It’s definitely not a perfect system.
I can see the point in some unions, but I think our guys are threatening to do it because they are pissed at management. They could end up losing a lot of benefits they currently have though (like highest pay in town). No one at our company ever gets fired either so they won’t gain anything there.
beer status: Black Butte Porter
(dying laughing) Christian Ponder has all the tools to become…Matt Hasselback. (dying laughing)
Fucking vikings. What were they thinking?
beer status: Black Butte Porter
Gotta get the Red Chair NWPA.
I love how the analysis of the pick basically boiled down to “well, someone’s gotta start, and Ponder played 3 years”
Fairley and Suh. That’s sick.
Lions front 4 is nasty.
Fairly & Suh is pretty terrifying. Rodgers better watch his ass and Cutler is dead
Damn. Suh and Fairley. Christian Ponder might demand a trade, too. (dying laughing)
Jay Cutler might as well retire
DET will be fun to watch next year if Stafford can stay on the field.
Jay Cutler might as well retire
(dying laughing)
I love how Boomer is pretending the Williams Wall isn’t running on fumes these days
The Bears can’t run against shitty Ds. They are fucked now.
Jay Cutler might as well retire
All the OL on the NFC North suck at pass blocking. The QBs are all fucked. (dying laughing) And there will be no running on that line, either.
I love how clumsily espn is inserting plugs for MNF at any opportunity (dying laughing)
what’s that mock draft that ryno jerks off to?
(dying laughing) @ the “owners suck” chant for Goodell.
I hope the Bears draft Austin.
I hope the Bears draft Austin.
OL and WR are massive needs before DT.
I hope the Bears draft Austin.
Although, if Ingram falls, I could be tempted to stump for him.
Maybe Ingram will drop to GB
WTF. WASH trades down with Fairley on the board to draft a lesser DL? And don’t take a QB? ODD.
OL and WR are massive needs before DT.
Yeah, if the value is there. OL haven’t gone yet so they might be able to get somebody.
Maybe Ingram will drop to GB
Maybe GB will drop into Lake Michigan.
single for castro
WTF. WASH trades down with Fairley on the board to draft a lesser DL? And don’t take a QB? ODD.
Yeah, I would have went Bowers there.
WTF. WASH trades down with Fairley on the board to draft a lesser DL? And don’t take a QB? ODD.
They play 3-4, I guess that makes a difference
Yeah, if the value is there. OL haven’t gone yet so they might be able to get somebody.
Kerrigan, Watt, and Fairley off the board…I fear the OL run is about to begin. The longer it holds off, the better for the Bears.
Also, dear Commish, Kerrigan is a DL/DE, you idiot.
single for castro
http://www.obstructedview.net/chicago-cubs/games/cubs-at-diamondbacks-4-28-2011.html
They play 3-4, I guess that makes a difference
I suppose. But Kerrigan is a hand-on-the-ground DL, too
Pats may just snatch Ingram here.
http://www.obstructedview.net/chicago-cubs/games/cubs-at-diamondbacks-4-28-2011.html
you guys keep me posted on the picks, i’ll keep you posted on castro. deal?
Maybe Ingram will drop to
GBNE
.
I suppose. But Kerrigan is a hand-on-the-ground DL, too
Yeah, they run a 3-4 so that pick doesn’t make much sense. I forgot about that, so Bowers really wouldn’t work either.
Pats may just snatch Ingram here.
It must be nice to get drafted and actually knowing you might win a Superbowl year one.
Lombardi thinks this is Solder
Thank you, Pats for saving Angelo from himself.
WOW!! Didn’t see that coming?
Damnit. No run on OTs before the Colts.
Wondering where the Chargers go here. Ingram wouldn’t be a terrible pick, but Prince might be the best pick for them.
Damnit. No run on OTs before the Colts.
I’m praying the run holds off, so Bears can get a premium OL at 29.
I bet it’s Prince. They traded up for Matthews last year.
What’s up with these 3-4 teams drafting 4-3 guys?
Jay cutler is fucked…
The ponder pick is baffling
I bet it’s Prince. They traded up for Matthews last year.
I suck as this.
What’s up with these 3-4 teams drafting 4-3 guys?
I don’t get this either. I wonder if there will be a lot of trades once trading of actual players opens.
Jay cutler is fucked…
The ponder pick is baffling
I reiterate, GB and MIN OL suck at pass blocking, too. Every QB in the NFC North is fucked. (dying laughing)
dempster is DONE
(dying laughing), grand slam AZ in the Cubs game. Still nobody out
double, walk, hit batter and grand slam
typical cubs
Wow. Dempster can’t keep the ball in the park.
double, walk, hit batter and grand slam
typical cubs
What do you think this is, some sort of Cubs’ blog?
Solid pick for NYG. Ingram would not have been a bad pick, but this is a good pick for them.
ryan dempster has allowed a double, 4 walks, a grand slam and hit a batter while retiring 1 guy
LEADERSHIP
Hmmm…I’d have thought TB would have went WR or DB.
Man Gruden loves QBs. I wonder if he calls Dalton to the Colts next (dying laughing).
Fuck You.
Fuck You.
Who the fuck is Andy Dalton.
dempster is awesome (dying laughing) i’ve been saying he sucks now
Man. Really getting my hopes up for Carimi. Destined for disappointment.
Really hope bairz can get solid OL
Holy crap. The Colts actually picked who I wanted them to. That never happens…
Is DeQuan Bowers still on the board?
Is DeQuan Bowers still on the board?
Aye.
His knees must be fucked
Costanzo had some lovely ladies with him
WTF? (dying laughing) @ SEA shocking even Saban.
that was priceless
“Expert” Will Carroll says Bears are in line to get Carimi now, so you guys are fucked (dying laughing).
“Expert” Will Carroll says Bears are in line to get Carimi now, so you guys are fucked (dying laughing).
Dammit. Fucking Carroll.
ravens just passed?
i mean really fucked
what a weird fucking draft
(dying laughing)
(dying laughing)
weird weird draft
This is breaking all the draft trackers (dying laughing)
This is breaking all the draft trackers (dying laughing)
It’s like the Cubs’ defense.
Now the Bears are fucking up other peoples’ picks. I hope they take who CHI wanted just as a Fuck You (dying laughing)
man the ravens just have great drafts.
Damn, looks like Ingram to NO
Saints jump ahead of GB to take Ingram
Ingrams diamonds were epic
Fantastic draft for the Saints. Really well done so far.
Carimi to Bears. Bah.
B will have to hate Carimi for life now
I love the pick for the Bairz..
Love watching blocking highlights
Yes! Carimi! Thank you again, Patriots!
gifted technician, eh? does that mean he’ll be fixing mike mccaskey’s volvo?
gifted technician, eh? does that mean he’ll be fixing mike mccaskey’s volvo?
(dying laughing)
let’s see how the jets fuck this up
dj, who do you like for the Packers coming up here
I really can’t believe this is an Angelo pick. Has Carimi had back surgery or knee replacement?
http://www.whatiswrongwithbowerssknees.com
I really can’t believe this is an Angelo pick. Has Carimi had back surgery or knee replacement?
IIRC he had some knee problems, but nothing major.
dont know enough about GB’s needs B
Steelers with a great pick
probably O-line again, or a CB to take over for Woodson
safety, rb
Steelers with a great pick
the weeping buckeye?
well, it sucks for you that Smith went to Baltimore. He was a really really good CB who only fell because he smoked pot in college (what a crime)
yeah GW- thats Ironhead Heywards kid. Perfect character and a good talent as well
yeah GW- thats Ironhead Heywards kid. Perfect character and a good talent as well
interesting
i really have no clue who GB goes with.
Bowers to GB
are the bears really going to move jamarcus webb over to LT?
Cant believe Ponder went in first round and Mallet didnt..
Mallet must be tweaking on crystal meth
are the bears really going to move jamarcus webb over to LT?
I’ve not heard that floated by anyone around the team. I do trust Tice to evaluate O line talent and develop it though.
mallet is just so fucking immobile. you would need a great line to keep him upright
are the bears really going to move jamarcus webb over to LT?
They couldnt have been serious when they said that. Unless they are trying to set a record for most holds in the history of football or break David Carrs sack record
i only watched a few bears games but webb at lt would be fun
mallet is just so fucking immobile. you would need a great line to keep him upright
That he might be but hes got the cannon that i love. But he is a white trash from Arkansas so i dont know
gotta be meth
i would actually quit if i were cutler and that happened.
i just think a slow jeff george when i see mallet
Smart pick for GB
are the bears really going to move jamarcus webb over to LT?
Not yet. Carimi will probably be moved in to play guard and Angelo will look to FA/trade for a LT.
if bairz have opportunity to get bowers tomorrow i hope they do.. Him or marvin austin
So happy they went with Smith over Prince. I wish they could have traded with ATL, though. Fuck!
dj, Smith is Robert Quinn light. He’s a RS-Sophomore who lived in the backfield when healthy. Big, athletic kid with long arms who can play OLB in base and kick in to 3-technique on passing downs. Stock dropped a bit after production dropped off last year, but it was due to injury.
I’m just glad they FINALLY went after a pass rusher. I’m sure they tried to trade down, but it was a bad spot.
Winners…
CLE: For the No. 6 trade alone. For a team with several holes to fill, they pretty much gave themselves that chance with one pick.
STL: I think we’re going to look back on this draft and wonder how Quinn fell to NO. 14.
WAS: Picked up a second rounder for dropping six spots.
NO: Picking up the best RB in the draft and a VERY versatile DE (whom I thought was better suited for a 3-4).
PIT: Absolutely perfect pick for their identity as a team.
Losers…
ATL: I want to say they made a smart move. They obviously think they’re one player away and they went up to get the best (1A, at least). That’s just an awful lot to give up when Jonathan Baldwin went in the spot they occupied before giving up what they did.
DEN: Miller is a great player…for a 3-4. For DEN, he’ll pretty much be Aaron Curry with a little more pass-rush ability. Think SEA wants to do that pick again?
My top 10 left:
1. Da’Quan Bowers – It’s a medical risk, apparently, but it’s one you take in the second round on a kid with his 2010 tape.
2. Colin Kaepernick – I just have a feeling about this kid.
3. Marvin Austin – On talent alone, he’s a top-15 talent.
4. Akeem Ayers – Scheme diverse. He’s Von Miller light.
5. Aaron Williams – A top-15 pick if he declared after his sophomore season. Poor man’s Charles Woodson.
6. Ryan Mallett – The Nuke Laloosh of this draft.
7. Ben Ijalana – Give the kid some angry pills and he would have been selected yesterday.
8. Brandon Harris – Forget his size. Look at the tape.
9. Mikel LeShoure – Comparable to Ingram.
10. Kyle Rudolph – Best TE in a weak class.
Guys I hope SF targets today:
1. Aaron Williams
2. Brandon Harris
3. Colin Kaepernick
4. Andy Dalton
5. Davon House
6. Ricky Stanzi
7. Curtis Brown
8. Curtis Marsh
If we go into Saturday with two guys from that list, I’ll be ecstatic.
Ryno, I’ll let you post this shit in the baseball thread until the draft begins up again. Come hang out with me you faget.
Thank you, fellow faget. I’ll copy it over now.
