Iowa– Anthony. Rizzo. I can't remember the last time the Cubs had a prospect just destroy a level the way Rizzo is doing. Last night he hit two more HR's to raise his OPS to 1.163. If you take his AB's from last year in AAA and combine them with this year you have about a full season's worth and it leads to 46 HR's, 154 RBI's and 49 doubles. Simply put the guy has nothing left to prove and I'm sure he'll be up as soon as the Cubs avoid Super Two. Brett Jackson hit his 8th HR of the year and despite his issues with his batting average is slugging .500. He also stole his 12th base of the season.

Smokies

Eric Jokisch had a good start going 7.1 IP and allowing 1 ER. He struck out 3.

Daytona

Ronald Torreyes kept up his hot June and got 3 hits and a SB. He is hitting .394 in his last 10 games. Austin Kirk had a typical Austin Kirk start giving up 1 ER in 6 IP but only striking out 2. He has a 2.63 ERA on the year.

Peoria

With Ben Wells down and out with an elbow injury the bullpen took turns pitching last night. Austin Reed worked 3 scoreless innings for the win and Yao Ling Wang earned his 8th save of year with a blank frame of his own. Javier Baez was 1-3 with a BB and SB. He also made a really great play in the field to save a run. Taiwan Easterling was 2-2 with 2 BB's and has really turned the corner after a slow start.
