They’ve got a new lead-in song for WGN….not much better than the last one. I miss the more jingly one they used ~10 years ago.

Sorry to hear about your friend Mish. One of my best friends from middle school and high school was killed in Baltimore 5 years ago and he too was a super nice guy. Seems this world holds on to the bad ones more than the good ones. I feel your pain.

Snoop is a strange character because I didn’t even know she was a woman until about after 10 episodes. (dying laughing)

Anybody else just hear Zonk talk about the numbers and statistics theories called “cybernetics”? (dying laughing) Oh well, at least he’s trying I guess.

Wasn’t “cybernetics” invented by L. Ron Hubbard? (dying laughing)

College baseball is only an honorable mention on the list of things I don’t give a fuck about.

I believe I was 3 years into college before I realized that the hats that the jocks wore that said Cocks was supposed to signify a real team. I’d always just figured that they were making ironic, self-aware commentary.

I always liked Snoop. That girl was born into crime, was later convicted of murder, got clean and turner her life around while incarcerated and then, as so many others given her circumstances, was arrested again during a drug raid last year. I liked the actress and I liked the story. So far it hasn’t ended well, but I’m nothing if not positive and upbeat. (dying laughing)

    @ Mercurial Outfielder:
It’s being televised more, which is a good thing, but it’s still not the least bit exciting unless you’re watching your favorite team. It’s quite a bit like the WBC with the exception of the watching your favorite team part. (dying laughing)

    @ josh:

Idris Elba, who played Stringer Bell, says that when he’s in the states people have approached him asking for advice on managing their criminal enterprises. They’re also really confused by his British accent (dying laughing).

WHen that’s finished, and you’re still beating off to your fantasy characters, I’m going to go browse on the retroscope and marvel at actual shit that really happened long ago in historical tymes.

Keith sounded the same as usual to me, but I didn’t hear the whole thing. I was disappointed to hear him pronounce Sczcur with no problem.

I’m a bit late on Gameday but it seemed Tony Zych was in the game and had mixed results with two hard hit balls and two strikeouts. Must find radio that actually picks up AM in this building.

That’s because you’ve been at the same employer for 82 years.

I’ve seen my salary increase exponentially over that time but when you start out on a dollar and a half a day, it takes a while to get to Bobby Scales’ salary level, let along Castro’s. And to think me and Starlin were both born in the ’90s.

The hitting coach is Rudy Ovaltine. Not that much farther off from how he pronounces Jaramillo.
