Geez, I didn’t think this would be possible anymore but Aramis is going to hit 30+ HRs. We should definitely get a high upside spec for him.

A .371 wOBA (his triple slash line beats out Pujols) and not a black hole on defense. A good year for Aramis. I like him a lot, I wish he’d approve a trade just so he could go win somewhere.
All yesterday:
Golden snapping out of his mini-slump. 3 XBH in last 2 games.
I think Hoilman needs to move up so he is forced to slightly change his approach. His patience is fine. But it seems he has Michael Burgess syndrome where, when he does swing, it’s as hard as he can (hence the low number of singles, and high number of XBH and K). It’s working at Boise but I don’t think his numbers will hold up at the higher levels.
Austin Reed is a weird prospect. He is “projectable”, but so far in his career he is either good or very bad. Last 7 starts: terrible, terrible, good, good, terrible terrible, good. If this is some sort of pattern, I’m guessing his next start is good
Wang has been lights out. Look for him to get a promotion when Kirk FINALLY gets to Daytona.
Peralta with a terrible start. 9 ER in 2 IP. Peoria lost 13-0.
Watkins with a HR for Daytona yesterday.
Rhoderick with his first terrible outing as a reliever. For some reason he was kept in to face 8 batters, only one of which he got out. Shot his minuscule ERA up to 3.84.
Vitters 1-3 with a 3-run HR and walk yesterday.
Clevenger 2-4 with a 2b.
Ha 2-4 with a 2b.
Marwin 3-3 with a 2b, HR, and BB.

Personally, I enjoy watching him play and don’t think he’d get a whole lot in a trade, so I’m fine with his staying here. It’s also not as though we have any excellent third base prospects that he’s blocking.

Just recently. siERA was his first article at fangraphs. I think he was at statspeak for a while, but he was second or third generation, after pizza cutter and colin and I can’t remember who else.

I have always been sympathetic with colin’s anti-xFIP stance (and to a lesser extent, his larger point about batted ball data), but that article is the first I’ve read that really lays it out and hammers it home.
