So that kind of sucked.  How do you handle such an ass-kicking, Carlos?

    Oh. Right.

It’s kind of funny because earlier this season the average fan was thinking Carlos had become a better pitcher while berselius and I couldn’t stop focusing on his low strikeout rate. Very few pitchers can be all that good with a 6 K per 9 like Carlos has.

I’m sure this has more to do with his volatile personality than some fagety statistic. I assume the media will back me up on this.

A lot of mileage on that arm and it’s only going to get worse over the next year and a half.

Based on the photos for the upcoming season Gus captures Jesse. In that situation I don’t see why Gus wouldn’t kill Jesse. Walt’s an intelligent person and I imagine he can and will gain some leverage. The one ad it looks like Walt kills Gus, but I doubt that happens early in the season.

Gus needs to find a way to replace Walt to make a serious play at killing Walt. I see two options 1) find another Gale (If quality drops off revenue will be reduced but that seems acceptable to eliminate Walt) or 2) put Walt’s family or Jesse in danger to force him to teach his cooking process. I’d try #2 with #1 as a contingency plan.

So they’ll sign these guys, get close, trade away the depth in an attempt to become and 82-win team and start this fucking bullshit all over again. It’s getting pretty fucking old.

Yeah, I think Gus will realize quickly that the leverage is only good for Walt’s life, at the moment. Gus knows Walt needs to cook and needs this life where he can be himself unrestrained from selfless inhibitions. Plus, Walt cares about his life which gives Gus the leverage b/c Gus needs Walt dead once production is secured.

You are right about the Cartels. The fact they are already on Gus should make it easier for Walt to gain the Cartel’s favor. (Enemy of my enemy is a friend, inside information, etc). The Hank situation could be interesting. Convincing Mike to betray Gus will be a full measure. I like seeing Mike and Walt on screen so I hope that plays out.

I think Mike cares mostly about self-preservation so if he’s convinced by Walt (or more likely Saul on Walt’s behalf) that Mike can help him or be an enemy I’m thinking Mike helps out. I don’t know if the show goes that way, but it’s possible. Walt is going to have to get more people than Jesse on his side if he wants to eliminate Gus. The Cartel would be huge, but he also needs muscle that’s loyal to him.

It seems like Mike or the Cartel has to provide the muscle. You seem to be pushing that and it makes sense. Victor has to go if Walt takes Gus’s infrastructure.

I like the idea of Saul having a role in turning Mike to Walt. I think Saul has to come along for Mike to turn. But I’m not sure Saul lives through the season. He’s a great character but I could seem him getting killed by Gus to undercut Walt’s rise.

Oh, indeed. But Walt’s relationship with Jesse got in the way. If Walt’s moral demise wasn’t still tied to some form of empathy Gus and Walt would be just fine. But that point is crucial to Walt’s vector right now.

Is it considered a balk or a HBP if the arm rips off the shoulder joint and flies at the batter on the 837th pitch?

the good news is that the guy had two full months in April & May and was great in both. Its just 10 terrible innings since then that have fucked up his ERA

Pretty good chance this is the final start for Randy Wells in a Chicago Cubs uniform. Dave Bush will be called up and Wells demoted and we’ll never hear from Wells again.

His strikeout rate dropped considerably the moment he reached AA.

maybe but all the things ive read is that his stuff was still there. mid 90′s fastball and a hammer curve. Soto said that and Goldstein tweeted that his stuff is still there as well. Its a small sample size to say much one way or the other.

but i dont think we have an impact pitching prospect in the system right now

so now Chris Carpenter is being groomed for a closers role. And Cashner is in the pen if he comes back

so our pen will be Wood, Marshall, Marmol, Cashner and Carpenter.

      and we still lack SP

i don’t think we have an impact anything in the minors right now. i wouldn’t be surprised if a few of these guys end up as average players, but…
