  • Cubs Post-Game Recap by the Rebellion (and Ewoks)

    We won!

    Enjoy it while it lasts.

Hopefully this little celebration won't end in a lawsuit by George Lucas.

      @ ACT:
Unfortunate choice to use “breaking” there.

Neighbors are reporting strange events at the home of MB21. Apparently he was sighted drinking the blood of a chicken he’d just killed, while plucking the feathers and stuffing them into the brim of his Cubs cap, with the feathers hanging over his ears. “He was doing some kind of unusual dance, sort of like the Electric Slide, but with some mash up of Pin-Ball Wizard and I think ‘Go Cubs Go’ and every so often he’d interrupt it by trying to do a handstand, which he’s really terrible at,” his neighbor, Bill, said. Officials from the local mental facility were notified, but when they arrived and saw the Cubs sticker on his bumper, they turned around without making contact, so as not to interrupt the juju.

Thanks for breaking the curse, MB

CBS says it’s his lower back. As I recall, he’s had tenderness there before.

Paul Sullivan is a miserable pice of subhuman filth:

He hasn’t experienced the pain most Cubs fans have endured, including double-digit losing streaks, a ball through Leon Durham’s legs or off Steve Bartman’s hand, or the Milton Bradley experiment, just to name a few.

Fuck you, Paul. Fuck. You. You sawed-off little prick.

      @ Rice Cube:
Does it even matter? How the fuck is a FA-signing gone bad in any way, shape, or form related to those other two incidents? Sullivan is a fucking asswipe.

      (It was Hoyer, BTW)

It doesn’t matter, but I’m just wondering how he even managed to segue it in there.

So, to review: Roy Halladay, Yu Darvish, and Jered Weaver have all been pulled early from their last starts due to injuries. It’s been a bad couple days for top-of-the-rotation starters.

I’m actually more bothered by the whole blaming the 2003 playoff failure on Steve Bartman thing.

Hey folks, over in the OV Forum Josh posted a quandary of his about ESPN.com contacting him about the Hope Monster. Give it a read and if you have some advice, let him know. Especially since we are his only friends.

That, too. But Sullivan’s continued preoccupation with Bradley is a disgrace.

MLBTR has a blurb suggesting they may work out a new contract but that might just be due diligence and vague buzz from the front office.

It would never happen, but maybe the Cubs could consult Bonds on how to have a laser dissection eye of the strike zone and how to be consistently good at baseball.
