    Iowa

Brett Jackson strikeout watch-3. Yearly total-110

    Smokies

Jae Hoon Ha hit his 3rd HR of the year. Ha is a lot like Lake in the fact that BA has always liked him but I never really got excited about him. That holds true still as I don't see this guy as anything but a 4th OF. Michael Burgess hit 2 HR's of his own and is slugging .450 on the year.

    Daytona

Francescon struck out 3 in 6 IP while allowing a pair of runs. Since moving up his #'s have really decreased across the board. This is to be expected because our pitching prospects have had an ancient curse placed upon them by the vengeful spirit of Rich Hill.

    Peoria

Baez didn't play so who really gives a shit?

    Boise

Hayden Simpson struck out 4 in 3.1 innings. He featured a nasty 84 mph fastball according to the Hawks radio announcer.

    AZL

Dan Vogelbach hit another double and added a walk for good measure. The former 2nd round pick is tearing up rookie ball pitching right now. Trey Martin went 3-5 and some guy named Ethan Elias struck out 2 in 3 IP.

Exhibit A as to why Sullivan is a fucking horrendous journalist:

Sveum inserted Rizzo into the No. 3 hole ahead of Alfonso Soriano, moving Bryan LaHair down to No. 5. Whether he’ll stay there is hard to determine after conflicting statements from Sveum and Hoyer.

“I wouldn’t want to goof around with it, no matter if left-handers are out there or not,” Sveum said. “I don’t think it’s something you want to tinker with or change day-to-day, or anything like we’ve had to do with our lineups. … If that’s what we project as our future, there’s no better time than to get him started now.”

Hoyer said he’d “be surprised if he’s etched in stone” in the No. 3 hole.

“I’m sure he’s going to move around in the lineup quite a bit,” he said. “That’s where he’s starting tonight, but he could be anywhere over the next few days.”

It’s pretty clear that Sveum’s comments are less about lineup construction, and more about Rizzo not being platooned, and vice versa with Hoyer’s comments. There are no fucking “conflicting statements” here. There are two people talking about the same person in two different ways. But fucking Sullivan, pouting like a child because this FO has been wise enough to shut out his biased, hackneyed probing, decides to manufacture a controversy in print.

Here’s a hint, Paul: the reason they don’t tell you shit, is because you pull shit like this, you pint-sized piece of shit.

I answered it in the last thread, but since there’s no way to post new thread up when there’s a new post you’ll have to go back there and read it.

vogelbach isn’t that big anymore MO. The biggest issue with him is he made a crazy amount of errors at 1B this spring. He better hope the NL has DH in a few years

Rizzo made a lot of errors in the minors, too, FWIW.

AZ Phil isn’t a scout but he said it was pretty damn brutal. But if the kids hits enough we can trade him. But all of his value will be in that bat.

Given that he doesn’t have a particularly athletic frame, that doesn’t surprise me.

That stinks. Did he not have any options to send back down to Iowa?

Edit: I guess someone needed to move for Soler though, right?
