8 runs were scored in the first 2 innings. Mike Olt went 0-4 with no walks or strikeouts.
Justin Grimm was pretty poor early on, allowing 5 runs in the first 2 innings. Afterwards, he settled down and didn't allow another run. He ended with a 6 IP, 8 H, 5 R, 4 ER, 1 BB, 8 SO line, which is acceptable given how he got there. Casey Coleman took the loss with a run allowed in 2.1 innings. A 9th-inning jack by Brandon Bantz ended it.
Javier Baez went 2-4 with a walk and a double and 2 strikeouts, and stole his 4th base also. Arismendy Alcantara was benched, but struck out in one pinch hit. Christian Villanueva doubled. Brett Jackson struck out thrice. John Andreoli was 3-4 with a double.
Matt Loosen struggled again for Tennessee, allowing 5 and 3. Hunter Cervenka pitched 2 scoreless, and Dayan Diaz went 1.2 innings and allowed a run. Tony Zych cleaned it up with 1.1 scoreless innings.
Albert Almora is dinged up and had the day off. I'm not sure why Dan Vogelbach didn't play, but he didn't. As a result, this was a relative snoozefest. Gioskar Amaya had a day to forget, going 0-5 with a strikeout and an error. Jeimer Candelario batted cleanup and had a solo shot. Rock Shoulders went 0-3 with walk and a run. Carlos Escobar doubled.
Bonus baby Tyler Alamo (24th round, 2013 draft) went 0-2 with a walk and a strikeout. He also had a passed ball and a throwing error, so a rough day for him. Like Bryant, he's new to pro baseball, so give it some time.
Gerardo Motherfucking Concepcion threw in this game. He went 1.2 IP and allowed no hits, but he did allow an unearned run on the "strength" of 4 walks and a strikeout.
