    @ WaLi:
I haven’t paid as much attention to it as I’m sure others here have. He called someone a slut and prostitute. Limbaugh is an idiot. Maybe it’s just the people I’ve known in my life, but do people really still care about women having sex with multiple partners? I guess I don’t hang out with the crowd that does.

    What happened? Limbaugh being Limbaugh.

in a nutshell: New regulations required insurance companies to cover birth control and required hospitals and pharmacies to dispense it. the upper echelon of the Catholic church in the US objected, so the administration tweaked the regs so that the insurance companies still had to cover it, but it could come from somewhere else. House republicans convened a hearing on all of this, with only men testifying. The Democrats tried to bring one female witness, a law student from Georgetown who had lost a friend to a condition that the pill would have presented. The Republicans barred her from testifying, and Limbaugh called her a slut and a prostitute on the radio.

    @ ACT:
Yeah and though I haven’t looked at the stats recently, I don’t think he exactly made up for that on the front end of the contract. Just a terrible contract.

Yount actually had 75 errors combined in his age-19 and age-20 seasons with the Milwaukee Brewers, but who’s counting?

There’s an article on cubs.com about Sutcliffe working with Volstad. That’s the second one of those I’ve seen (Rodrigo Lopez). Makes me wonder what Bosco is doing.

Oops. That’s how much he’ll be worth using the projected value moving forward. That makes him overpaid by about $155 million. Wow.

It should be interesting to see how the Yankees try to cut salary with that huge millstone around their neck. Fortunately, Yankees fans are reasonable, level-headed people, and won’t take out their frustration on A-Rod himself.

That would be true, but A-Rod is not a real Yankee.

They probably didn’t care too much. They thought he’d be better and he was projected to be better than he was, but he took a step down quickly.

It wasn’t just that he called her a slut and prostitute, though that’s not great he does stupid shit like that all the time. He also showed a complete lack of knowledge of how birth control worked, assuming that the more times she had sex the more pills she needed, and said that if the government pays for the birth control we should all be able to watch her having sex.

On a related note, I cannot believe that they do a live video stream of his radio show. They always use the clips on Daily Show/Colbert whenever he’s in the news and it only reinforces his image as a bloviating gasbag just to watch the way he talks.

That code is pasted below the post comment button. It’s an image so you can’t copy/paste it, but it’s pretty damn simple. Obviously you have to replace your image url with the domain.com/image.jpg.

The funny thing is I know html and have been properly using the img tags. I have no idea why it didn’t work earlier.

Also, Peyton Manning —> will be released tomorrow

My thoughts exactly. (dying laughing) Jets, Denver, Arizona, Dolphins, Vikings are teams that came to mind initially.

The Denver media could be fun to watch the next few days. I bet at least 3 articles get penned on why the Broncos don’t need Manning because they have Tim Tebow.

    @ Rice Cube:

    From ESPN:

The Raiders also renegotiated Palmer’s contract, giving him a $2.5 million guaranteed deal for the rest of this season, $12.5 million with $5 million guaranteed in 2012, $13 million in 2013 and $15 million in 2014.

Oy. Not to mention they have like no draft picks between now and whenever Palmer’s contract runs out 😛

The Raiders used to be so good. Wife is still a fan and I’m a fan by default, but the organizational stupidity is a killer.

I just mentioned this on twitter, but will post it here also. Apparently I’m alone because I actually enjoyed the PS3 commercial about the Cubs winning the World Series. I mean, I knew it didn’t happen. I knew it was a commercial for a game.

I’ve seen it mentioned a few times on twitter today. One person Brett was talking to was so pissed he/she was never going to buy that game again. Don’t get it.

Oh, that was just a commercial for a video game? I thought the Cubs really won and I just plum forgot about it (dying laughing)

Anyone over the age of six who spends time watching grown men play a game with balls should have a sense of humor about it. It’s probably the single most ridiculous waste of time in the universe.

    @ Rice Cube:
I don’t get it either. Cubs fans would have been upset if it showed them losing and they’re upset it showed them winning. I guess from now on they’ll show the Cubs going 81-81. Imagine the outcry if the commercial had the Cubs collapsing in game 7 of the World Series.

    @ ACT:
    Exactly.

KC needs to on that list, too.

The Redskins are going to throw stupid money at Peyton. And if they miss out, they’ll trade 5-6 draft picks to the Rams for RG3
