Is that like a question?
Is the game thread up?
Who owns it?
This seems high.
Who owns it?
Mike Leake thinks he does.
Thank God you finally banned Andy Dalton. Can he still -faget point us?
Andy Dalton sucks and shouldn’t be picked before No. 45.
Dalton got banned? I didn’t think people got banned here. Someone channeling their inner Al?

Cubs lose
Cubs lose
What happen, the game start?
It’s starting right now, Muck. I was just beating everyone else to it today. (dying laughing)
It’s starting right now, Muck. I was just beating everyone else to it today. (dying laughing)
(dying laughing) That’s what I figured.
Pena has 1 extra base hit all season? That’s terrible.
Walk the first batter..lets see what happens
It’s starting right now, Muck. I was just beating everyone else to it today. (dying laughing)
Stat geek my ass. Fuckin’ weirdo.
Pena has 1 extra base hit all season? That’s terrible.
He’s been awful and it has nothing to do with BABIP either.
He’s been awful and it has nothing to do with BABIP either.
I know it’s early still but damn.
I know it’s early still but damn.
It’s starting to seem like last year wasn’t so much a down year and that perhaps we shouldn’t be expecting him to rebound much. I still think it’s too early for that, but he’s sucked for a long time now.
Anyone figure out “nasty factor” on Gameday yet?
Anyody else like the way Coleman pitches? It seems like he has good make up for a pitcher.
did y’all see Kemp’s walk-off yesterday? do it.
Anyody else like the way Coleman pitches? It seems like he has good make up for a pitcher.
He’s a third generation MLBer, so part of it is genetic.
Of course if he’d stop walking people…
you need to hear the whole thing with scully
Ewwww hanging curveball.
I thought I read something about the Nasty Factor and it’s fairly useless. I’ll look around.
Wow. A strikeout.
Anyody else like the way Coleman pitches? It seems like he has good make up for a pitcher.
I think there’s some potential there. I thin he’s more than capable of being at the back of the rotation and providing some value for awhile.
Would you rather have had Casey Colemman or Carlos Silva pitching?
Way to pitch 65 pitches in one inning and give up no runs!
Would you rather have had Casey Colemman or Carlos Silva pitching?
Casey Coleman easily
Way to pitch 65 pitches in one inning and give up no runs!
It’s worked for Carlos Zambrano for 3 years. (dying laughing)
Way to pitch 65 pitches in one inning and give up no runs!
31. nice snark
The Cubs are tops in the majors in K/9 at 8.94, but 3rd worst in BB/9 at 3.99. Lots of Ks and lots of BBs would add up to a shitload of pitches thrown.
Dodgers announcer: “Castro will make errors because of his flashiness.”
Why didn’t Kosuke swing at anything? Is the strike zone that bad?
If this was a team like 08, I’d be more excited about Barney because he would have been extra production in the 8th slot. But since they suck and he’s batting 2nd, I can’t get to excited.
Since last year’s ASG, no one in the league has more hits than, um, Cassie.
Nice eye Cassie
I like that patience from Castro there.
Why didn’t Kosuke swing at anything? Is the strike zone that bad?
Strike three was right down the middle. He wasn’t expecting a strike, I guess.
Coleman = 31 pitches
Billingsley = 15 pitches
Hmm.
Strike three was right down the middle. He wasn’t expecting a strike, I guess.
Brenly said he was thinking too much when he really meant guessing.
Brenly said he was thinking too much when he really meant guessing.
It seemed like Dome realized Billingsley was working fast, so he was trying to get him to throw more pitches. It backfired on him. (dying laughing)
And now the Cubs fans are cursing Fukudome because of his overpatience. It’s a way of [L]ife.
I’m not really cursing him, just surprised that he didn’t swing at a meatball.
Gameday sucks this year. The ball/strike system is terrible. The show strikes as balls and balls as strikes.
Why did I never notice Castro’s open stance this season? We’re almost a month into the season and I notice Castro is now rocking the Derrek Lee stance. (dying laughing)
Isn’t it time to put Soriano 5th and move Pena down?
Hasn’t Kosuke gone down looking more than any other cub the last few years?
Hasn’t Kosuke gone down looking more than any other cub the last few years?
Except maybe Soto.
Gameday sucks this year. The ball/strike system is terrible. The show strikes as balls and balls as strikes.
I hate the new one. Every time I see a pitch coming from just under the scoreboard I get pissed. Then I notice that the batter is as tall as the scoreboard.
Only 8 pitches that inning for Coleman, thats more like it.
Why did I never notice Castro’s open stance this season? We’re almost a month into the season and I notice Castro is now rocking the Derrek Lee stance. (dying laughing)
get your head out of the spread sheets and watch the games (dying laughing)
Was Castro’s new stance discussed in spring training and I just missed it? Seems odd such a change would have been made after a successful season, but it’s working so far.
you can switch to the old gameday
get your head out of the spread sheets and watch the games (dying laughing)
(dying laughing) I never heard about it. I didn’t see anybody mention it and I didn’t notice it until today. Weird.
I hate the new one. Every time I see a pitch coming from just under the scoreboard I get pissed. Then I notice that the batter is as tall as the scoreboard.
It’s kind of cool that they show the stadium but the functionality of it is terrible.
you can switch to the old gameday
I always do.
you can switch to the old gameday
Oooh, how?
Oh duh. Gameday classic. Derp.
Hasn’t Kosuke gone down looking more than any other cub the last few years?
Well it’s harder when you don’t look.
The classic Gameday is better because it allows you to check the pitches in previous at-bats. When I checked Kosuke’s just now it seemed that strikes 2 and 3 were very borderline but he probably still should’ve swung if they were that close.
Marlon Byrd is 10 pounds heavier this year. How come we haven’t discussed that?
Marlon Byrd is 10 pounds heavier this year. How come we haven’t discussed that?
I’m not a fan of how mlb audio is automatically integrated into it. I’ve always used Yahoo to keep tabs on a game. Plus you get the in-gameday ads that are annoying. You can detach the audio but more clicks = annoying. IIRC it also doesn’t turn off the audio when you launch mlb.tv from it.
Marlon Byrd is 10 pounds heavier this year. How come we haven’t discussed that?
Because we’re not TMZ?
god, Soriano has no speed at all anymore, or maybe just lazy (dying laughing)
Marlon Byrd is 10 pounds heavier this year. How come we haven’t discussed that?
Considering how well I notice things, I would have noticed his weight gain in 3 years.
Because we’re not TMZ?
(dying laughing)
Considering how well I notice things, I would have noticed his weight gain in 3 years.
Hey, did you see Soto’s recent weight loss? It was right before the 2008 season (dying laughing)
Has anyone else noticed Soriano has developed Ernie Banks ass.
more clicks = annoying.
It was better when Ronald Reagan faked the PBP from the studio on WHO.
Marlon Byrd is 10 pounds heavier this year. How come we haven’t discussed that?
we don’t discuss great big fat persons.
Dodgers broadcasters ripping Soriano for not hustling.
Dodgers broadcasters ripping Soriano for not hustling.
It’s ok the Cubs fans were probably booing him anyway.
Vaudeville was good times too.
I preferred the minstrel shows.

61 pitches
RF bleacher boxes —————————> totally empty.
they usually are pretty empty
According to gameday, the strike zone is only about 2 inches.
Coleman has good shit but location and pitch selection is…iffy
Although, I wouldn’t want to hear Ron’s call of this inning. (dying laughing)
(dying laughing) I totally would.
It doesn’t really matter who comes in. If I was Quade I’d just have various position players pitch today. Next inning it’s Ramirez then Soriano, Castro, Pena, and just for fun, in the 9th, Soto pitches to Soto. Good times. I’d keep watching if they did that.
(dying laughing) 50th pitch this inning.
(dying laughing) I totally would.
Jeez!

If they cloned Soto they could have them morooning at both C and 1B. I am in favor of this idea.

With such a small crowd, you can hear the individual boos of various fans.
(dying laughing) 50th pitch this inning.
Chad Billingsley doesn’t need no DH.
51 pitches this inning!
has there been good weather in wrigley yet this year? (dying laughing)
Sure, once or twice when the Cubs were on the road.
With such a small crowd, you can hear the individual boos of various fans.
It’s also easier to spot Al’s stupid white hat up in the corner.
It was colder for Z’s start.
Well he’s from Venezuela so he’s used to it.
What the fuck? Some dude just emailed Len and Bob asking them to email him a slice of pizza. That’s not even funny.
Ramirez never dives.

the cubs are fun-suckers.
Jeff Stevens doesn’t know what he’s doing in the batter’s box.
He has his own shape? (dying laughing)
Somewhat gnome-like. Kinda pointy toward the top.
Speaking of pointy at the top, the Cubs really need to change the shape and color of the rain ponchos they sell. There’s a Klansman sitting right behind home plate.

Well fuck. There goes the other no-hitter.
I’m surprised Pena isn’t being booed every time he doesn’t hit a home run.
Is it like a reverse TOOTBLAN if Marlon Byrd doesn’t get to second base on a passed ball?
Soto doesn’t like basestealers.
that was a strike (dying laughing)
Dodgers don’t score!
Is it like a reverse TOOTBLAN if Marlon Byrd doesn’t get to second base on a passed ball?
Did the ball bounce weird or something? I can’t imagine any reason why Ramirez could score but Byrd couldn’t take an extra base, unless Byrd didn’t know the pitch got away or slipped or was picking his nose.
rally!!
Got something brewing with two outs…
Ah nuts.
Kosuke’s OBP is Bonds-ian.
Too bad all he hits are singles for now (dying laughing)
8 walks for CHC pitching.

I think Quade just destroyed whatevers left of Steven’s arm
170+ pitches between Coleman and Stevens in 6 innings.
holy shit! almost 90 pitches for stevens. (dying laughing)
no bobblehead day for Jeff Stevens.
So that’s what, about 180 pitches to get through 6 innings?
no bobblehead day for Jeff Stevens.
They should bobble his arm instead. It’s probably Jello by now.
So Carlos Pena…
rally!!!
Geo can’t buy a hit

HG, now we have a rally (dying laughing)
rally!!!!
alright! 7 to tie, 8 to win.
alright! 7 to tie, 8 to win.
4 straight singles, there’s just no quit in this team.
Headline on Cubs.com saying that the Cubs are undecided about who makes the next start has me thinking Mr. Stevens is getting sent down and Thomas Diamond is going to get a callup
that sucks. Stevens was just getting into a groove.
Good job by Koyie to work the pitcher (dying laughing)
This team is not good at baseball
This. Leave that maneuver to the gritty white guys.
And Jerry Hairston
Bubbles wants to bring bjax up. The only thing buns is excited about is both cashner and wells threw today. I want to see cashner pitch again
This team sucks shrunken monkey balls
.
Mateo is falling apart!
I haven’t been watching for awhile, but turn back just because. I want to add that Marcos Mateo sucks. He’s horrible.
This bullpen is pretty miserable
I haven’t been watching for awhile, but turn back just because. I want to add that Marcos Mateo sucks. He’s horrible.
Mateo is this year’s Caridad.
I haven’t been watching for awhile, but turn back just because. I want to add that Marcos Mateo sucks. He’s horrible.
I feel like I am not going to pass judgment on relievers who have been overworked like none other
It’s not like Mateo has been worked that hard though. The problem is he comes in when the game sucks and can’t even get someone out. That’s not on Quade. That’s Mateo’s problem.
I just saw the passed ball…it seems this game is so boring to the Gameday and scoreboard update people that they neglected to mention that Byrd actually made it to second base on the passed ball (hence my confusion) and they also didn’t state that Hill replaced Soto two innings ago.
(dying laughing) at the Dodgers fans left in the park
