It’s funny because earlier today I collected some runs scored and allowed data for teams since 2001 through April and then from May through the rest of the season. I also thought they had a significantly higher chance of winning fewer than they did more. I could easily see this team losing 95 games. They’re not good and they have almost no upside whatsoever.
I don’t know if BABIP explains Demp. When you give up as many HRs as he has, you’re getting pounded.
That’s what I mean. Babip explains why Pena, Soto, Colvin, Kosuke, Barney, Baker and Garza, and possibly even Castro are all performing way better or worse than expected. Bascially, with the exception of Castro and Ramirez, all the good hitters have been bad so far and all the bad hitters have been good thanks to crazy Babips.

But I don’t understand what the fuck’s going on with Dempster. Or Z. At least Cash and Wells made themselves easy to analyze by just getting injured.

it will be much more multiple than the last 2 years, for sure, and you can’t base the offense on 1 player like Martinez was last season. He’s not durable. From what I’ve read and saw in the spring game, we’ll see a bunch of stuff, and they’re going no huddle, up tempo.
As funny as this is, I fear Alvin may be right. The Cubs pitching tonight has been nowhere near competent enough to hit anything intentionally.
Yeah, i think you’re probably right. Then again, I tend to think Olney is retarded so I could be wrong. (dying laughing)

I would love to get a receiver that is taller than 5’10

i mean knox is a great #2 but he just gives up on routes leading to cutlers

exactly. They need a pro bowl WR. They can find one eventually, but that’s what they NEED besides a better o-line.

Len and Bob mentioning Scorecasting? It’s nice to see they’re talking stats, but could they at least talk about ones that haven’t been debunked by people who know what the hell they’re talking about?

I just realized the worst part of the Smardzjia draft pick was that even if he turns into a competent reliever this season, his option is so damn expensive that he probably won’t be here next year.

    What a bust.

Yeah, Sharkie Boy can stay now. As long as he’s pitching well, let’s see if they can stretch him out to cover for 4 starters.

Not sure what’s going on there, but DJ set it up
I should’ve realized that earlier, but I planned on watching the cubs. we saw how that turned out. I don’t like watching the draft, just been tracking it.

THat swing by pena was pitiful…

no more pillow contracts for him..

Worst part is we wont get to trade him for something useful.

I wasn’t telling you to go over there to talk about the draft, HG. Just wanted to make sure you knew that. I was just giving you the link to let you know that someone set up a thread for it. I haven’t checked it so I have no idea if there’s anyone talking about the draft there or not. It’s just not something I care about. I’ll read about where some of the Hawkeyes were picked tomorrow.

Oh I know, and it’s quite busy over there. I wasn’t really interested in talking too in-depth.
