Cubs 9, Rockies 5 (4/11/15)

OSS: Kyle Kendrick turned into Kyle Kendrick and the Cubs bats woke up.

Three up:

1. Dexter Fowler had two straight triples to start the game, and the Cubs hit the Rockies pitchers hard all day.

2. Coghlan and o/ MIKE OLT o/ went back-to-back in the 3rd

3. Castro had a nice day at the plate, with three hits including a no-doubter HR to left center.

Three down

1. Mike Olt was hit on the wrist in the ninth inning. It looks like nothing’s broken, but I wouldn’t be surprised to see him sit out a few games. La Stella will probably take his place in keeping Bryant’s seat warm. It’s a bummer that it looked like Olt was seriously injured and all everyone could talk about was Kris Bryant.

2. I didn’t try any of their other offerings, which looked intriguing, but the standard Coors hot dog graded out at a 20.

3. Phil Coke got knocked around coming out of the pen in the eighth. He technically did his job as a LOOGY, getting one out, though the acronym says nothing about the number of batters.

Next Game: Kyle Hendricks vs Jordan Lyles, 3:10 PM CT

Will the Cubs win? It could go either way.
