Theo sat down with Alex Speier of WEEI, who might be giving Nick Cafardo a run for his money as the best Cubs reporter out there.
Maybe Theo reads Josh's comic, because it sure seemed like he made an oblique Hope Monster reference
He spoke of the “monster” of expectations and the perceived need to get better constantly….As a leader of baseball operations, it's my responsibility to manage that [monster] and to be true to our own philosophies and to put the best team on the field and build the best organization so we can succeed year in and year out,” said Epstein. “Our successes were probably well documented, so any failings have to be attributed directly to us in baseball operations.

That sounds like too much to hope for, in my opinion.
@ josh:
If I were a baseball player or major staffer, and I was going to read a blog about my team, I’d read the comic blog over any others. Although there may be criticism within the comic, the whole point of a comic is to induce some laughter, right?
@ SVB:
That’s true. I try to poke fun at everyone, and take the bad season in good humor. I’m still waiting for my personal email from Theo telling me he’s a fan though.
In all seriousness, I would squee like a schoolgirl if I thought Theo actually read something I wrote. KG only got a “cool” because isn’t he on the ESPN payroll? He might have just been shouting out for his job.
