On the plus side, [find optimistic factoid].

When I saw GWs comment (#47 in the last thread) I was on my phone and couldn’t immediately add my 2 cents. It reminded me of this.
(dying laughing)
@ mb21: Yeah, I think about that comic all the time.
@ mb21: I searched everywhere.
I thought Randy Wells had arm issues again. He’s not just wallowing, there’s a reason (dying laughing)
@ Rice Cube: I don’t think so. My in-depth research on wikipedia would have revealed that.
Pat: “Barney, gloving it near the hole.”
I thought they were supposed to be playing baseball!
@ josh:
Google says:
http://www.cbssports.com/mlb/players/playerpage/584969/randy-wells
Season-ending surgery. I suppose I should hunt down an actual source rather than a fantasy blog.
Ah…HBT blurb, sourced from ESPN:
http://hardballtalk.nbcsports.com/2012/07/25/randy-wells-undergoes-elbow-surgery-likely-out-for-season/
This was unexpected:
http://hardballtalk.nbcsports.com/2012/09/21/breaking-melky-will-be-ineligible-for-the-batting-title/
No more Melky for batting title. I don’t even think the real “winner” gets a trophy or anything.
@ Rice Cube: I don’t really care about Wells, to be honest. But now I know.
I mean, for that matter, the minor league season has been over for like two weeks.
For some reason, I was thinking yesterday that at least the Cubs play good defense. Way to prove me wrong, The Cubs.
@ josh: …and knowing is half the battle.
So, uh, did someone really just steal home?
@ Rice Cube: It was a combination of a failed squeeze attempt and a passed ball. They called it a steal because he was in motion before the ball was released.
New shit: http://www.obstructedview.net/chicago-cubs/it-turns-out-chet-coppock-still-exists-and-he-doesnt-like-theo.html
On the plus side, this season is almost over
