All Time BA Top 100 lists

If you've got some time to kill, this is a fun trip down memory lane. Fun fact: the Cubs only had one player in the top 100 in 1993 and 1994….and it was the legendary Brooks Kieschnick. Lots of bare years after that too, when Kerry Wood was the only real prospect in the system. Also, Brian Dopirak was once the 21st ranked prospect in the minors (laughing).

    Not true!

I sat in the bleachers one night and watched Franklin Stubbs (with HOU) take the legendary Lance Dickson deep twice. Those were the days when Craig Biggio was still behind the plate. Tuffy Rhodes was just a young up and comer with Houston that my brother and i were trying to cajole for an autograph before the game.

Dickson with 13.2 STRONG innings for the Cubs that year

    @ Chet Masterson:
When I was a kid I saw Tuffy Rhodes play in Des Moines and he tossed me a ball. I was able to get him to sign it later on. That was the only autograph I ever waited to get and he was just in AAA (hadn’t even had the ridiculous 3 homer game against Doc yet). I then went on to play baseball with that ball and after hitting a home run I was never able to find it.

    /cool story bro
