    I’d love (no wait, that’s not the word) to see a top 100 “most Cub” losses since 2003. I’m pretty sure this would not make the cut. Game 6 of the 2003 NLCS obviously is #1, and #2-5 are probably in the last week of 2004. I think most of us knew there was no hope after losing game 1 in 2007 and 08. You could just tell the team’s spirit broke and they weren’t going to win. Those were not as bad as Hawkins giving away the entire 2004 season in the last week.

    The game where a (Gregg?) pickoff throw caromed off a baserunner (‘s helmet?) into the stands allowing a run to score struck me as most creative way to lose.

    On the one hand, I don’t get how he leaves Bowden in after the double. On the other hand, none of the other pitchers would probably have fared any better.
